LNB 96M, our senior Icelandic stud ram, has died.  96M was sired by an AI son of Askur.  His mother was an AI daughter of Noi that weighed 175 pounds.  96M was Champion Icelandic Ram at the 2003 Michigan Fiber Festival.  In 2004, his fleece was Grand Champion at the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival in a competition of 74 fleeces.   He produced an excellent fleece with great color that sold quickly right up to his last shearing.  Boss will be missed, but his last son, 32X (aka Cool Ram) will be filling in for his sire.  2012 lambs from our horned flock will be sired by 32X.

We have been raising sheep since 1968.  Our sheep flocks have a status of Certified in the Voluntary Scrapie Program (IL47) and we test negative for Ovine Progressive Pneumonia (OPP). 

Our poultry flocks are in the U.S. National Poultry Improvement Plan (Approval # 1178).
